Tech/Audio advice - brand/model CD or other music player that repeats a disc/playlist and resumes after power fail?

Howdy,

Curious if anyone else had suggestions for a line level source (standard unbalanced RCA) for a music on hold / background music system. I am throwing in a temporary solution to replace an existing source (Comcast cable box playing digital music channels for $100 a month...) that someone else decided was a great solution.

A few basic requirements:

- Has to be able to repeat an entire disc or playlist without user intervention.
- Needs to resume playback (not necessarily from where it left off) and the previously mentioned "repeat" setting in case of a power loss.
- Has to be relatively inexpensive (under $200) since I'm planning to replace our entire PBX setup including the music on hold/paging solution currently in place within 6 months.

Source material would be either an audio CD or music ripped to MP3/WMA data files.

Any links or explanations you can provide for an appropriate solution would be great! I haven't found a CD player or media player with local storage that quite fits the need. Worst case I could build an old PC up to act as a media player for now and just junk it later - but I'm curious if there's something else out there that might fit the bill. Figure a budget of under $200.

Thanks in advance!

Just get a cheap CD walkman and a UPS. That'll end up be $120 tops. an RS800 should offer a huge amount of backup time.
