Tears Of the Sun won't play on PowerDVD! Help! Something about Region 1 Discs?

I just rented" Tears of the Sun" from Blockbuster, and I put it in my dvd-rom drive and I turned on PowerDVD.
It started to play when suddenly a big screen came up and said that this version of PowerDVD is for non-modified Region 1 discs.

I tried "The Transporter" and it worked perfectly fine.

How come "Tears of the Sun" doesn't work?

Does the disc show Region 1 on it? Maybe it's a regionless disc?

I think it doesn't work because the movie company thought it would be perfectly ok to produce dvds that some people can't use if it ment that it cause warezer's about 6 hours of fretting untill they cracked it. Oh and there is a chance that if you figure out how to watch it and you tell your freinds you may goto jail. (grrh sorry for the rant)
