Has this ever happened to anyone before? I don't mind dental check ups at all and this should have been a routine cleaning, but for some reason I was pouring tears the entire time. But only from my right eye, head being rotated to the right. The left eye was dry and in contact with the light, but the thing is is that it wasn't even blindingly oriented. I felt bad because the lady doing it probably felt she was torturing me. (That or she thought I was a mega pussy.)

Any theories on what could have caused this?

You're tense and not blinking enough?

I did have a really strong urge to give a deep, long blink but if she saw me closing my eyes so strongly with tears seeping out she would imagine me to be in absolute agony, so I let my tears flow down the side of my face, dripping onto my ears and then audibly pattering on the plastic covering of the seat.

I tend to tear up in the corner of whatever eye is leaning to the side, while laying down, watching a flick or whatever.

...but that's only while watching Julia Roberts movies.
