Looking for an app/software suite that would be a working version of TeamViewer/Quick Support/Pilot to use on a Windows 10 machine and Moto x4 & Moto G6 phones running Android 9 (Moto X4) and Android 8 (Moto G6). I am trying to help out some elderly people with their computer and/or phone issues and when I first found this (I know probably late to the game about TeamViewer, but better late than never), it seemed exactly what I was looking for. I was able to use Quick Support Remote Control to control a Windows 10 machine from an Moto X4 phone, but not the other way around. From what I have read on the TeamViewer website/forum, this seems like a multi year issue that is not being resolved for some reason.

Does anybody have another (hopefull free for non-comercial, help thy neighbor type of stuff, I am not making any $$ for helping these people out) software suite that does what the TeamViewer suite is suppose to do?

I need an easy setup on the end users computer and phone, something that doesn't really require anything more than clicking an .exe or .msi on the computer or going to the play or iphone store and installing said software from there. My wants for the software would be that has some encryption in it, at least bank level, nothing crazy, I just do not want somebody to able to be sniffing whoever I am helping out data and see anything in cleartext.

Please help, some of these people are in assisted care living facilities and w/ the coronavirus situation, many of them are being locked down - no family, no friends, just staff and medical personnel. If I could show these people how to easily video chat with their children/grandchildren/great grandchildren and their other friends and families that they can no longer see in person, I feel it will do wonders for their psychological health. Otherwise these people had the few things that keep them going, knowing they will be getting a visit usually every week

Not sure about phones, but we use any desk for desktop support... it's free for personal use.
