PS: If you Go Here and look for me and compare 0900 and 1500 for today, (6-5) you will see why I have taken CB off line for a bit. It was 8:00 today when I shut CB down.

CB really seems to hate on-line BF1942 and takes my other crunching with it when it gets pizzed off. (each computer shares F@H, DF and (formerly) CB)

With my son and his friends out of school, the games have begun and I haven't had a chance to try and find a way around the CB issue yet.

Sid, does it only cause trouble when F@H and DF are running also, or does it happen when only BF1942 and chessbrain are running too?

I'm not sure. I haven't tried turning off DF or F@H.

The other unknown is wether it is really the on-line aspect of the game or the game itself that is giving me the issue.

And just to keep it all confusing, I am overclocked which could lead to issues.


It's getting warmer here and this little room gets pretty hot when it's full of kids and the games are running (2 computers). A couple days ago,
I had to back off the video card OC because we saw some artifacting in a game after they had played continuously for nearly 4 hours. (I don't remember if it was BF1942 or Enter the Matrix).

I had seen similar issues before, but thought they were resolved when I lowered the CB memory usage (to low)

In just a few days, DF is going to transition over to Phase II. The F@H and CB have been here to keep me company while that project struggled.
I'm sure that for at least a couple days I will crunch DF exclusively to shake it down, and then I can do some meaningful experimenting as I bring CB
and F@H back.

There is one last possiblity.... I used to have help on DF under this name. A couple of them quit crunching all together and one of my best mates took a new job and has been in the process of moving. There is a chance that the drop was just due to no cycles available (games) and the rise could be a
coincidental boost from Redly1 coming back on-line (That would be so cool!)
