If I understand it correctly, this project doesn't impact the CPU much and wouldn't interfere with an existing DC project (I'm currently doing SETI@Home and Distributed Folding). If that's the case (doesn't use to much CPU/RAM), is there a simple over the network service install for Chess Brain? If so I could easily bring 60 clients to the team.

i run it with SoB, every install of SoB, i install CB. i haven't installed CB with my DF boxen , yet

but i only use the CB GUI , not the command line/service install, can't help you on that

i use it as a service
just with firedaemon, but i dont have 60 computers to mess with! (i wish i did however)

i think that is the only way to set it up as a service AFAIK.

Hi Robor.
Make sure you have clearance to put CB or anything else on work or college machines, some people have had charges brought against them.
You probably already know this, I am just worried for anyone else.

Also, I use the GUI version with no problems, havent used it as a service.
One member had trouble with the service on XP.
I have CB running on low with memory set at 16 megs and SOB set on idle.
I play Battle Field 1942 and with them running and havent seen any speed drop.

He's listed twice because he used a slight variation of his nickname, probably after the @ sign in his e-mail address. This causes a person to show up twice.
