moriakaice pointed out in a post that Chess Brain website has a page for team info and wanted to put our team on it.
You can put a logo and team info, etc...

sciencewhiz pointed out to me the logo and info on the TeamAnandTech.com page.

How about some feedback on using the logo and info there to post on Chess Brain.

Without the permission of Anand, you will be unable to use any form of the Anandtech logo, not even that one from TA.com

I asked to use if for the Offsite and permission to use it was declined. You may have better luck. I thought that they would be pleased for the extra publicity of having their name affiliated with it, but no such luck.

TA logos are used on other stats pages, so I guess we're all in violation of the DMCA or something like that.

Guess I better try to get in contact with whomever founded the TeAm in another project that I participate in, to get them to remove the logo. :frown:

BTW, you guys appear to be doing good. Does the client require an always-on connection? If not, I may be able to help out a bit, along with what other projects I am helping with now. 🙂

i think so, the work is intermittent, so it won't hurt to put it onto a dial up box, i don't think it would generate many "nodes", but i am not sure

Why change TeAm name ?? And where - at CB ?? if yes - so sorry, but there are too many members and all of them need to change it... we will lost a lot of them if doing such change !!

It doesn't require an ALWAYS on connection to run it, but you can only crunch when you're online. However, you don't need a 2GHz+ to get great stats. Only a small amount of CPU time is used every few minutes. Someone on here mentioned it was taking an average time of 10 seconds per move on their P3 1GHz I believe. I'm on a P2-400MHz and it takes anywhere from 6-20 seconds to complete a move, most of the time around 10 seconds. Plus, CB works great with other projects since it uses only a small amount of power every few minutes 🙂

 
In every other project (that I know about) we are Anandtech or Team Anandtech. We rally more around our community (these distributed computing forums) then either anandtech.com or teamanandtech.com. So, even if it was easy to change the team name, I wouldn't think we should.
