In a very short time, TeAm SOB has made some impressive strides that I think are worthy of a new thread (plus, the old thread was getting relatively long).

Here are the current TeAm Rankings:

*wiping dust from eyes* CyberWire is now in 2nd place on the team in terms of overall production! 😀 If I can ever get my Linux work to dump, I'll temporarily regain 2nd place 😉
 
I have moved all my home machines (Athlon XP 1800+ @ 1686MHz, Duron 850 and Athlon 1.0 @ 1.43GHz) onto SOB, as it's quite a small project i'm quite high in the rankings 😀

At this moment in time (after having the client crash 5hrs ago on my main rig (the AXP) 🙁) i am in 10th place overall fastest user, and 22nd in the past 24hrs, and 82nd overall in the project!

When all my computers were running overnight (before the client on my AXP crashed) i was hitting 400k cEMs/sec!

I would LOVE it for more people to join up and knock me down, i've only got 3 computers and am this high up, think what others can do with a bigger herd! 😀

Just one thing i want to point out here, the team name is case sensitive, therefore it must be entered exactly as Anandtech

it started about seven-eight months ago, roughly

the guy doing it has just recently been trying to drum up interest on the DC boards

as you can see , the client version is .99 , so the client software is still being refined on a regular basis
 
I joined the team for the project but I dont really like the software and the project doesnt interest me, so I most likely wont be runnin it 😛 sorry
 
More Team News & A Bump!

We've moved into 7th place for overall proth test contributions and 3rd place for fastest production in the last 24 hours!
 
this project is particularly well suited for P4's. Especially with the latest client release. I've been a part of the project for only 4 days now and I've jumped way up in the stats. I am very happy about this but i would like some more challengers, especially if they are from fellow teammates. The project has 5min stats updates and realtime graphs. Take a look at it and if you are a stats junkie you'll have all the motivation you'll ever need within 5 minutes 🙂
Formal challenge mode:
I challenge any fellow team member to be ahead of me within 2 weeks. I only have 3 full time computers on this project so it shouldnt be too hard for some of the herds i know some of you have. Whoever accomplishes this will get a weeks worth of any of my machines for whatever project they choose.

Daym, i need some P4s!

I'm running on 3x AMD based machines (850 Duron, 1.43 Athlon, 1.68 Athlon XP) and over the past 24hrs, am about 50k-cEMs/sec slower than you, and overall about 150k-cEMs/sec slower, so catching you will be difficult 😉

But that still doesn't mean that others can't catch and overtake you 😀

something is wrong with my clients, both of them are stuck, they get to 100% on the block test and stop, i have tried re-starting them, and they just get to the same spot and get stuck

i'll have to go puruse the SB forum and see if there is a fix, meantime, my production is halted 🙁
 
I have been unable to reach the SoB site from work, getting a 404 error. I guess their servers/net connection is down, which is probably why the clients can't connect. My clients are probably gonna be getting pretty low or stopped 🙁

Will keep updated as i try it through the day

i will restart them when i get home tonight
 
Will the client automatically try to reconnect, or does it have to be connected manually?

If manually, maybe that's a change to suggest to the creator 🙂

More updates!

We're now 4th place in overall contribution and...*drum roll please* 2nd place in production in the last 24 hours! We're a mere 7 full tests out of 6th place in test contribution and just 9 test out of 5th place!

I'd also like welcome new members: EvilWobbles, TDK, and dkappos!

I only have a Celeron 300@450 (without L2), a few hours/day. I know that this willl not help that much but I hope that I will have something faster in the next few weeks.

I've updated the stats in the original post. We're now in 5th place for full test production! Keep up the good work, guys!
 
We're back in 2nd place for daily production!

I believe I've given this team the boost I originally set out to give it, and its grown a lot (both in members and production), so I'm going back to TeAm DF to get ready for the White Elephant race. 😎 I won't be leaving entirely, as the SOB client seems to be the only one that can still get some kind of reasonable production done while I play video games 🙂 I'll probably also keep doing periodic stats updates, but it looks like it will be several more weeks before we move up anymore (barring a strong surge in membership/production, that is).
