Played today after we finished our final in sports officiating. I didn't think we would be playing anything since it was raining, so I was wearing my 8" steel toe boots.

That being said, its played on a basketball court and the coach said since I was wearing the boots I should be goalie so I didn't leave black marks all over the court, which was fine with me. I used to play goalie for soccer. Our team ended up winning 6-4, and then 3-1 (first game to five, second to three.)

I made some amazing stops, one with my right eye, and two with my twig and berries.

If you have never played that game its an absolute blast! Do a google for team handball and watch one or two videos, great game.

I did drop to my knee for one save, now I have a golf ball sized hematoma just below my kneecap. (big swollen bruise, or will be a bruise) And I am pretty sure I will have a black eye tomorrow from the shot to my eye. I had to sit out for a few minutes after that shot.

Anyways, its like water polo without the water, and a smaller, harder ball.

Google it. There are some great videos...

How did you manage 2 stops with your crotch? I don't know about you, but I never walk out of something where my balls were slammed twice by other balls calling the experience amazing.

lol, one was a shot pretty much right into them, the other was deflected into it.

I mean, my crotch is HUGE.

I think I first heard of handball (the team version) when I was browsing the live coverage of olympic sports. It looked like it was pretty damn easy to score.

Some hot team handball chicks in the olympics. We played in gym class in high school with rules that were slightly different from the real rules (i.e. in the olympics you're allowed to land in the goal crease area after a shot; in high school any foot inside the 3 point circle resulted in a penalty shot. I always played goalie, I was a brick wall. I just had my team prevent any shots from the top of the 3 point line. Anything coming from an angle was easy to block. Somehow my classmates never figured that out...
