I placed SetiQ on my new computer and works OK, except I can't get to it remotely anymore. The IP address on my new computer was 192.168.0.103 so I changed the settings to match that on the router and the Q. I can no longer acess using DNS2GO. I changed the address there too. I configured another domain name and tried it again- NO luck. What gives?? I don't want my team to lose any ground in this race. Go "D" Team.

Rebooting the router cured the symptoms!! Thanks ConfusedBW.

Let's back up a little bit...by remotely do you mean from outside your LAN on the Internet? Can you access the q from inside your LAN?

Could it be becase my old computer is still showing up on my router configurator?? I set up my DNS for my old computer's IP address. I have changed the IP address on DNS2GO, but it give me an error on my DNS log- invalid server error- Domain name is in use. I think it is on the DNS end. There are also DNS log entries stating- attempt to change registration entry has failed. I even configured another domain name, and it still didn't work with a new DNS registration.

This is really getting frustrating. I've tried numerous ports and still to no avail. I can only open The SetiQ pages through loopback on the installed computer- NO OTHERS!! I only transferred all Seti stuff to my new computer via CD I burned just prior to shutting down the old one- changed the IP address on my router, DNS2Go and SetiQ. The configuration is working via setiQ because all my clients are getting WU's from there. I'm really stumped here. Traceroute works through DNS2go and I can ping both computers and I am currently sharing files from both computers, so the network is properly configured.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!!!

You said that you copied it all to CD. Have you changed the properties of everything in that folder back from Read Only, cos that's the setting they would get when copied from CD.

ConfusedBW is awesome- a hard reset of my router was required to get things going. There is actually a router rebooting procedure for my D-Link in the manual- imagine that.. in the manual!!
