A current TAC member will have to do this. I don't agree with their terms of conditions, so I can't get on to do the setup. Sorry, guys.

Seems to be some sort of web-monitoring service thing. Requires Java. (Which won't touch my machines, unless I absolutely have to.)

It uses Internet-connected computers to perform distributed web service evaluation so that more accurate service quality information can be delivered to end users

That sounds really ambiguous, what the hell does it mean??

Yeah, I'm not particularly interested in running the project itself, but I like to get at least a few points in every project I can find in order to improve on my favorite Free-DC stat ("Projects participated in"), and I figured we might as well get a team set up at the same time.

It would take 72 days to get 10,000 points.

And a year to get 50,000 points!

I think I know what it means. It means, set up a BOINC project, where you can get thousands of people's PCs worldwide, to contact certain websites at certain intervals, to monitor website response. The kind of thing businesses' pay for. But someone got the bright idea that us "DC" chumps would do it for free, if they assigned points to it.

I dunno, just doesn't seem like that much science involved here, more business.

That being said, I wonder about the WCG:"Nutritious Rice" project, whether it's just a front for Monsanto.

Monsanto is the largest (and not always ethical) producer of genetically modified crops.
