Hello all.....

It's that time again....we have been challenged to a new race with DSL Team Starfire...Put that new Motherboard/CPU to work and see what it can really do! :Q You'll have a blast too....;)

The last race was a great growing experience for both teams but was ended just short of completion because of the sad day of September 11th.

Since then though, team DSL Starfire has outgrown and outproduced us considerably.....now it's our turn!!! :Q:Q:Q

A new race has started and we need your support.....all it takes is a few extra cpu cycles...just a few. The clients use spare CPU cycles in the search for signals and other signs from space for intelligent life or anomolies. They are easy to use, have little (mostly NO) impact on your system (even in benchmarks) and also help science too :)

Come on over to the DC forum and see what TeAm AnandTech is all about...you'll be glad you did!!! :D

Race Rules thread! :)

Race Start Thread (with stats links)

What team DSL Team Starfire thinks of AnandTech! :Q

TeAm Welcome thread with client information and setup links :)

Team AnandTech Strikes back! :Q Buwhahahaha!

Come on guys...put that new PC to work....support this great site and a great TeAm...

Team AnandTech needs your help.......please answer the call and defeat the DSL team...you'll be glad you did! :D

Hey guys, we need all hands on deck for this one. DSLR has been out producing us for months and they are laughing at us thinking that Anandtech can't stop them!

If you sign up, we can show them who doesn't stand a chance!

We need your help!

SETI can be a lot of fun, theres nothing complex (well, I dont expect anyone from the Motherboards forum to have any trouble - theres a challenge for you!!) and you'd be helping us out.

And to keep it in the Tread :)

A DDR motherboard seems to give around 10% performance increase, I went from a A7V133 SDRAM CAS3 (143) -> 8KHA+ DDR CAS2(150) :D
Gave me about 20% performance increase, running 9x150 now :)

So upgrade your motherboard, and tell ud your performance increase :p

If any of you are into overclocking, SETI makes a great system stability test as well! :)

So you want to prove that your motherboard is stable and fast? Join TeAm Anandtech and use seti to prove to the world and team DSLR that you have a stable and fast motherboard. Remember:

Seti likes overclocking....
Seti likes higher FSB.....
Seti likes to use those extra CPU cycles you are producing by overclocking.

So join TeAm Anandtech and Prove that your motherboard is fast and stable! :D

Hi, I'm one of the new members.
I just want to say how much it has improved my life since I became a member of the Team.
(How was that? Can I have my money now?) J/K

No, seriously, running Seti is a good way to test your machine and use all the power it has that you don't need and at the same time you help the site.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get my dad to run Seti on his machine too (even though it's only a Celeron333@416). Even though we are in the lead currently we shouldn't get too relaxed. Go Team!

Race Update: We are starting to pull ahead, but we need more help! Their best producer is on the sidelines now but will return soon (He has over 100,000 WUs! :Q)

We need a bigger lead so we have some breathing room!

So Join hte TeAm and give us a hand :D

Since I joined the TeAm I have added 3 new MB's w/Athlons.

It is SO cool to see these new KT266A boards and XP's churning out amazing numbers of WU's. And then, you get to go into the stats and see how quickly you are overtaking people with slower machines....
