I've just updated the Top 25 Seti Teams in the World Report and we are indeed now in 6th place. :D

As always, there is a little bad news mixed in with the good and vice versa ...

We have now fallen to 9th in the 7-day Average and 6th in the 30-day Average. :(

Forum Hardware.FR Team is now outproducing us in both of those measurement periods. :(

And the predicted "Catch Date" to move to "#5" is now "Never". :(

So does anyone have an idea of what we should do?

Thanks for the update Greg :) The top 5 would be Sweet, and this Team can do it...

Smoke,
You guys are dropping them like the straight aways on the trap range!! ;)

Now that sounds like someone who would know what I was talking about when I said, "Wood to Wood and Smoke 'em!" :D

Let's keep up the crunching and see if we can nail down #5 before we move on to Seti2 :D

Smoke,
I glanced at your picture and thought you shot trap. I see it's skeet. I worked for a guy named Dan Carlisle for a few tournaments. You probably know who he is. Sporting Clay tournaments, but he couldn't actively participate because he was running it. He walked with Jon Kruger one day and "unofficially" got him by about 5 birds.

Yes, I know who Dan and Jon are. ;) I've shot both Trap and SC but my primary focus was on skeet. :)

Got any skeet shooters in your area interested in a complete set of MEC Hydraulic 9000s (all four: 12, 20, 28 gauges plus the 410 bore) put them in touch with me. :)

Also have a couple of high grade K-80s. :Q

I'm sorry to say my competition days are over. :(

[Edit]

I've beaten every skeet shooter in the world (on one day or another). :Q ;)

You know the old saying, "Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bug!". LOL Ha Ha

:D

I started shooting skeet to improve my field performance when I would go "dove hunting" but as I grew to love the "practice" I stopped hunting altogether.

A little story about that.

When hunting I would see a pair of dove coming toward me and I'd shot at them and sometimes bring down only one. I'd stay concealed and many times the other dove would circle back looking for its companion and I'd nail that one too.

One day I watched a National Geographic Special about "doves". I was entranced because I never really knew much about my "game" of choice other than how to hunt them. At one point the announcer pointed out that "doves mate for life" and I was immediately devastated. When I use to wait for the 2nd dove to circle back, what I was waiting for was for the "mate" returning to find out what happened to its "life companion".

I've never shot another bird since. :(

But I smoked many a clay target. :)

Okay, so I guess the moral of the story is that you're just really lucky that clay targets don't circle back looking for their mates. ;)

I just noticed the Team that recently passed TA is now at 12th, how can that be? Smokeball you say something about "hollow about BBR situation", what the heck happened?

Glad to see you've switched to clay birds rather than the real flying ones. Our feathered fowl friends do a lot better than most us humans in staying together as mates for life and we call ourselves the intelligent species

Dave,

Our friends at BBR had Bandai to leave their team and join another (LittleWhiteDog to be exact) and that caused a little tear in their fabric. He had told them that he would return but a few feathers were ruffled anyway. They seem to have recovered and are back on track of stomping again.....

I think we need to ramp it up and keep them at bay....and only LET them pass this time if Bandai comes back! :D

So when someone switches team the WU credits go with them??? :Q , that's a load of &*%#. Surely there must be a way to fix the code to correct that big goof up. Takes the whole point out of being on Teams:frown: .

The SETI project has always been this way Dave; I'm fully in favor of it being changed to something more along the lines of the way the RC5 project handled it. ;)
