Well, we're still loosing out to /. in OGR but not by much. A mere 736,000,000 nodes was all we fell by and to put that in perspective that we did nearly 97% of /.'s nodes for the day.

So what this means is we need to get out there and assimilate and I mean NOW. We do still hold the number 1 spot for total nodes done but we're going to loose that soon if we don't pump up OGR production.

Turned on a few PCs that were turned off before I left the office. About 1/3 of the herd going to RC5 and 2/3 going to OGR. Go TA, MOOOO HOOOOO!!! :)

And don't forget to upgrade to the 463b clients, and switch those K6s to OGR!

#2 again for 7-21 :(

Still #1 though!!:)

Yes, but under Windows on AMD K6, K6-2, and K6-III, it's 30%+ faster.
Many other CPU's are 20% faster. Heck even Pentium MMX's and Cyrix's are 12% faster.
Description MHz
AMD K6-2 500 500 31.01847%
Pentium II 233 22.47101%
Celeron 500 500.00 21.94226%
PIII 500 500.00 19.09313%
Cyrix 6x86MX-PR233 200.00 12.85464%
INTEL P166 MMX 166 12.30507%
Pentium 100 B 100 5.25155%
That would probably mean first place if all Windows clients were upgraded.

PS We were second again on July 21, 2000.

Hmmmm... Made it into Mika's top 25 but not for long... it seems that's gonna be outta my league. The computing power at that point increases exponentially.

Oh well, if I had my numbers and I was 100th, I'd be even more happy, since that would mean so many more people were supporting the cause...

I just upgraded to the new clients.. I cracked a little bit of OGR, but I'm back at RC5 again. I just can't make up my mind! For now I'm on RC5 'gain - but if OGR struggles more and more I might chip in ;)

RC5 is my focus..

It would really suck to lose first place to slashdot... My output is pretty much max'ed out right now unless dnet releases an updated Solaris x86 client or an updated multithreaded IRIX/SGI client.

Mika's Stats show:
Windows 95/98/NT, x86, 8009 21.90 T 13.48 T 148.85 T 9 mins 28.10%
Now a conservative 20% would give us a 4.38 T boost for yesterday.
This is 4,380,000,000,000 which is considerably more than what /. beat us by.

nexus9, so you're the one who keeps kicking me out of 25th on Mika's. ;) (I'm bugs.) Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately I'm losing one of my herd. :( Well, on the bright side, I'm getting good money for it. :)

Sorry, Eug :) Looks like we're in for a close race!

Any way to find out who's running the older client (via Mika's)?

BTW: I'm now _COMPLETELY_ addicted to Mika's stats :).

Yes, someone could scan Mika's logs for the emails of those submitting from old clients. But then what do we do? We can't email them, because that would be spamming. We can't post their emails in the forum because that would invite spamming. Whoever does it might be able to recognize some of them and post to their forum id. Viz, Eug and I have posted the speed increase in many threads. These people either rarely come to the forum or can't update their herd easily.
Yet it would be nice to have a list. Maybe only up to the @ sign.
