Well, with the double witching of Mika's going down, and the PhF still down, the DPCs managed once again to steal 1st place from our grasp. For the day, we did 588K blocks, 336K less than the DPCs, 39K more than hackzone, and 158K more than /. Obviously, Mika's is down for the moment, so our blocks are partly blocked up in Mikas and the BBs. Also, the PhF is still down(~1/6 normal), and may not come back depending on if he's using 1 Dnet(or his own) proxy, as not all of Dnet's proxies have been updated to fix pre-460 clients. So, let's not take any things for granted, and give the DPCs the defeat they need. Everyone get out there tomorrow and assimilate all the machines you can, because TA will decimate the DPCs!

Why not? Do we know long until they're all updated? So that a pre-460 computer that connects directly to a DNET keyserver (rather than a pproxy) will be told to do RC5, not OGR...

By the looks of things, Dbaker needs to update some(if not all) of the servers he's the admin of. Considering he hasn't allready done it, he's probably away on buisness for the weekend, so it might be a day or 2 until they're updated.

So let me get this strait-Dnet has not updated its servers to take care of the problem they created? OK no more than I have grown to excpect from them in the last 2 days.

Mika's is down? As in unable to flush our blocks to Dnet? Well that explains my 3000+ block differential between my Dnet stats and Mika's.

After getting a good rant off yesterday I had finally gotten back to normal-well quess what this sucks. For this I spend time money and emotional effort?

I guess this is a real education for folks on team AnandTech. Dnet obviously operates on a very ass-backwards basis. It obviously has no consideration for the folks working for them. I feel sorry for the admins of thousands of proxy servers, and 10's of thousands of client PC's caught in this kind of crap. I'm sure the stats will get updated sooner or later, but this whole mess could have been avoided with one simple consideration-NOTICE! (as in prior!)

I went to see your stats and they are the same. Just curious.(actully I feel like a voyeer.I can't see mine so I thought I'ld go see others.I am truly befudled as to why I can't see mine.)
BTW, 29% of your best? We have monumental problems getting back to where we were last week at this time. Mine suck too as someone posted them for me so I could see.

We do feel the same about it though. Like I said, this is our education of how Dnet works. Can't say Dnet in itself is really worth it. Anand? maybe, for the fun? thought it was, will I continue? probably, but not with the same enthusiam that's for sure.

Guess I just got to get over it, or skip it.

dvch, for the pproxies Dbaker is the admin of, he's the admin. He's a volunteer, and if for some reason personal or buisness reasons call him away, he has to go. Don't keep beating on Dnet, this isn't the norm, so stop treating it like it is.

Thanks I got it.Proof I exist.WOW! Stats suck though.I have a dead machine right now.As soon as I can figure how to see my own stats again,I will be happy.
