Well, even with day 3 of the Mika crisis happening, we still managed to beat the DPCs, and everyone else too.:) For the day, we did 1,305K blocks, 42K more thant the DPCs, and 413K more than /. Now that the pproxy is fixed, we should nomalize back out over the next few days, after tomorrows big dump.:) So, lets try to make tomorrow look a bit fancyier by assimilating even more machines. Everyone get out there and assimilate all the computers you can, because TA will dominate the stats tomorrow.:D

stats are updated @ http://www.usaexpress.net/strates/teams.htm

(I am no longer updating the Macs, if another team comes along that is going to threaten us, I will start tracking them. Also I am thinking about adding some of the teams infront of the DPC, and compairing them to the DPC.)

enjoy

Your /. stats are 1 million off. :)

date - TA Total Blocks - TA Current Rate - /. Total Blocks - /. Current Rate - Total Difference - Change in Difference - Days to Catch
7/1/00 - 310,547,539 - 1,192,720 - 405,819,072 - 843,927 - -95,271,533 - 348,793 - 141
7/2/00 - 311,649,566 - 1,101,288 - 406,675,231 - 853,440 - -95,025,665 - 247,848 - 149
7/3/00 - 312,960,594 - 1,305,412 - 408,748,035 - 892,933 - -95,787,441* - 412,479 - 156

Shouldn't -95,787,441 be -94,787,441?

MadRat: The stats are correct.

To understand why, you must look beyond Stats 101 and read a page from Advanced Stats for the Stats Addicted ;)

On 7-3-2000 we did 1,305,412 blocks and /. did 892,933. One might think that this would be a + 412,497 delta for us, however, DNet stats show a delta of minus 761,776 blocks.

Most likely explaination is:

A person (or people) who had been cracking, who had not yet joined a team, joined /. with 1,174,273 blocks. Thus, these unnassigned, but already accounted for, blocks were added to /.'s overall total, but not to /.'s daily total.

If you noticed, a similar stats anomily happened to us on the day we passed EvangeLista (6-30-2000).

Zapzilla, I thank you for your interest. But I believe the days to pass is correct for the way I tabulate stats. I guess I should make it clearer, but I take an average of the last 7 days to figure out how many days it will take us to pass a team. This is so that big dumps and bad days don't make big changes in the stats. If you think this is a bad way to take stats, let me know why, and I will reconsider.

Thank You,
Strates

No, your way is just fine and produces a more realistic timeline. I did not understand your method, thus my confusion. Thanks for clearing it up. :) :) :)

Strates-

Good job on the stats. Since that /. list is so long, is there a way to reverse it so the most recent day is at the top? It would be easier to read that way.

That would be a good page to add to a sig line- "days to pass the slash"...or something like that.

Viz, thanks for the suggestion, I am working on reversing the list, (anybody know how to do so in excel 2000?) and I will add it to my sig when I get home from work today.

Thanks Again,
Strates

Strates, that's a good idea about the DPC as well. They're now back where TA was about a year ago (I'm told). I'd be interested to follow their progress. It'd be good to see them run over the Russians and Evangelista:D

Strates,

Select/highlight all of the data, rows and columns, except the column headings.
In the data menu, select sort, select the column heading you want to sort by in the drop down list of the dialog box, in this case it is date and select the descending radio button and click the OK button. That should do it,;)

That's because at current rates, the number for the DPCs to catch us would be a negative number. :)
