Ok, so there is this fellow I help out once in a while. Basically he has a small business where he does peoples tax's. He has like 5 computers in his office, but man they were in a horrible state when I came in.

Anyway you figure a guy who uses computers to do taxes for people as his business, would know how to use computers.. but nope, he is pretty clueless.

So now that the tax season is over, and he is in the lean period, he wants to learn computers. Like not programming, but basically how to use the web, email, navigate windows, files, use word, printing, etc etc.

Any suggestions as to what the best way is? I was thinking of maybe some free websites he could use to learn, or maybe order some software, or taking classes at a community college (do they offer classes like basic computers) etc.

Any suggestions? Thanks, I really want him to learn this stuff, so he can get his work done, and not get fleeced by people and stuff.

Thanks again.

Possibly a book on how to use a PC. If you have time, you could dedicate an hour each day to teach him what the basics are. I guess he knows how to turn on and off a computer. You could teach him what an operating system is, how to create new folders, how to open programs, what the program does (briefly), setup the e-mail for him (cuz a newbie won't remember/understand this), maybe set a folder up on his desktop with all his applications that he uses so he can just go into that one folder and look for what he needs to use.

I guess a comm college class would suffice.
