Dang, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

I don't know what the facts are, but I do know there is a pretty big difference between a staple gun and a classroom-variety stapler. I also know that it was first called a stapler (by Wilson, who was quoting her daughter), then the story changes to something about a staple gun (also said by Wilson). That's not just a slip of the tounge, that's embellishing your story to make it more exciting.
