Teach Test: ideas?

Hi,

the task: in five minute demonstrate one's presentation skills by teaching the audience something not related to computers.

Any ideas?

Help greately appreciated.

Thanks

tell them how to make a protein shake or something, or bake something, or shoot a basketball, or how to manage your stocks, or how to build something

just some ideas don;t know if they qualify

Teaching something means you really understand the subject, so pick something you know well, besides computers 🙂
Teaching can also mean passing on knowledge, not just an ability to do something.

If you can't come up with something, go online and find an educational website. Look for lesson plans for a particular age group or grade level and do something similar to it. That would be easy enough.

This task is to showcase your presentation skills, not knowledge of a topic, so hey, you can be funny and pick something that will have the audience laughing.

Be careful what you choose here.

Most teachers, when giving this assignment, want to see two things.

1) That you know what you are talking about, and that you know it so well that you can acurately and perfectly make it happen everytime, even under pressure.

2) That you understand the assignment... which is that you can teach someone something in 5 minutes. After your five minutes is up, these people must be able to leave knowing how to do what you taught them. Teaching someone how to drive a stick-shift is an example of something bad to do, because that takes time and good amounts of practice.

There is a wide range of things that you could do. Just think of times when you do something and people say "I wish I could do that."
