Teac CD-R 55 and Win2k ?

My system runs smooth on NT 4.0:

Abit Bp6 with 2 Celeron 500
192 Mb RAM
Tekram DC 390 F SCSI controller
onboard HPT366 controller
Promise Ultra ATA 100 controller
45 and 6 Gb IBM drive
Plextor UltraPlex 40X CDROM
Teac CD-R 55 burner

After installing Win2kPro, which went fine, the LED of my Teac burner is on continuously. I cannot make it turn off. If I insert a CD in my Plextor drive (! not in the Teac) the whole system hangs. I installed the newest drivers for the Tekram controller and the CD drives are recognized correctly by win2k. No hardware conflicts at all.

Any ideas? Do I need a new bios for the Tekram controller or the Teac drive??

TIA
