Tea Party stuns delaware primary

It's coming. The tidal wave is coming. There is nothing liberals can do to stop We The People. We're strong, we're motivated and we're united. Tax paying, hard working citizens of this country have simply had enough. No RINO's. No liberals. NOBAMA.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/09/14/hours-polls-close-gloves-come-delaware/

Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell, a perennial candidate with no government experience, soundly defeated veteran politician Mike Castle for the Republican Senate nomination in Delaware Tuesday -- posing a major upset to the political establishment on the last big day of primaries.

The Democrats in Delaware are having a good laugh at the election result.
That's exactly just what they were praying for.

It would be interesting if this "Tea Party" movement leads to Democrats keeping their seats in Nevada and Delaware.

Wanna bet 500 bucks that she wins the general? I think you're severely underestimating how motivated people are to reject obama.

We'll see.

In any case, I'd rather have a liberal democrat have the seat than a liberal republican. If we're going to have liberals run the country, let the blame rest where it properly belongs so that the next generation will know who to vote for, instead of being forced with the giant douche/turd sandwich dilemma.

lol@U.

Yeah my guess is the Democrats reaction is less along the lines of "haha thanks for the senate seat" and more along the lines of "holy shit we're in trouble, America woke up".

Wide awake now. Fully awake, eyes wide open, alert, aware, state of readiness and instant action.

So you think that voters in a traditionally blue state are going to elect a retarded, unemployed deadbeat who goes on TV to talk about how masturbation is wrong? Lolz! The Dems are going to take a beating in November, but morons like O'Donnell will limit how much damage the GOP can do. She is unelectable and unfit to govern.

500 bucks she wins the general. Bet or no bet?

What's you're neglecting is voter turnout and how motivated people are to stop the obama agenda.

Remember what happened to "ted kennedy's seat" in the bluest of states.

Yep 2 states went from leaning Republican to leaning Dem after the 2 tea party winners.

Even the national republican party said they will not support her unless something changes.

Guess Spidey didn't hear that the republican party has decided late last night (was reported to WSJ), that they are not spending any money on her campaign, believing it to be a lost cause.

I really can't wait to see what happens when and if some Tea Partiers actually win an election.
When they turn into precisely the same people they claimed they weren't, the back pedaling will be GLORIOUS.

I don't see Mitch McConnell's reaction as more along the lines of "haha thanks for the Senate seat" either.
So what do you think the Republican reaction is?

I'm going to LMAO when the Republican folks who fall for the Teabag Party's lines find out that their candidates are no better or different than the rest of the pack...
The entire political machine in this country is broken...FUBAR, and controlled by the big money...they only let us peons THINK we are a part of it all...

"Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss."

LOL if the Tea Party gets a majority, and ultimately in the White House.

At that point I will ditch my career for one in journalism/comedy - too much material to ignore.

The loss of an incumbent party and its corrupt leadership would be a blessing for this nation. Tea Party smiting Republicans is just what the doctor ordered after the likes of Bush, McCain, and Romney.

I think some are underestimating how much the pee party turns off Indie voters. The Dems will probably be sending flowers and candy to O'Donnell soon, if they haven't already.

This oft mentioned tidal wave would be more believable had it resulted in McCain getting the boot. A better metric would be hard to find, given his record and the state. At this point it all still looks like armchair captains trying to describe light to moderate chop as a full on gale.

The cure is worse than the disease then.
