I buy loose tea from World Merchants in Seattle. I got turned on to thier NW Teatime blend. It's a black tea blend. Really smoky aroma. Best tea I've ever had.

Organically grown Darjeeling.

Never - ever - steep tea for longer then THREE minutes . . . . you don't get more caffeine - rather Tannic Acid which often causes stomach upset . . . . IF you want more of a caffeine "buzz" just use MORE tea(bags) per cup. ;)
Is the difference between organically grown and otherwise substantial enough that you can tell them apart?

I'm talking in ways other than price of course...

I drink green tea and there's always been an organically grown green next to the one I buy that costs 50% more...
Yes . . . . . but then i am fanatical and use distilled water to make my tea.

MOST tea bags are BLEACHED pure white which also spoils the flavour :p
Tea bags? I use leaves and a strainer :p

But tap water...I figure nothing's gonna survive the boiling anyway so there's no point in using anything better

it's all about TASTE. if your tap water is excellent , use it. ;)

Even some metals adds "taste" (a few tea bags even come without the metal clasp attaching the string for that reason) . . . .

tea bags are convenient (and popular - that's why i use them ti illustrate. . . . 'loose' is better (of course) ;)

Oh, and real men drink tea. Pansy boys who question their sexuality and try to "prove" they're "real men" drink coffee. For tea drinkers, coffee is a last resort somewhere behind tap water and piss. ;)

Great minds think alike. Stash English Breakfast, thats the ticket right there.

My tap water is far from excellent...I'm sure it's safe, it's just got an odd, Texas flavor that I don't like so I usually drink bottled...

However, once boiled, all water tastes the same to me...

I use a blend of black, green, and Earl Gray in my iced tea.

People love it, lots of flavor & body.

I'll drink anything that's not in a tea bag.
