TDK "version" of NERO

Noticed that Nero that came with TDK Velo CD pops up window that says it's customized to only work with the TDK 24/10/40 I got...so if I wan to use it with my Plextor's, e.g. rebadged Imation 8x20 or Plexwriter CDRW, I will have to buy "another" copy ?

$19 upgrade price. When purchasing, just put in your TDK Serial # found here:

HKey_Local_Machines\Software\ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Info\ "Serial5=****-****-****-****-****-****"
 
Thanks for the replies.

The window I mentioned in my first post pops up when the program searches for drives in my 'puter...it finds the "plextor" 8x20, but then the window pops up...

zemel- Ran into this very same problem when I wanted to see why my computer wasn't burning properly.

What I did, since I legally owned the software, was to use a search engine like hotbot or google and type in: Nero + crack

and hit search.

You should be able to find your solution to the problem this way.

I of course don't know if its legal, but you could try it, just to see if it works.😉
