I have a TDK VeloCD 16x. Is this thing not very compatible with windows 2000? I'm having nothing but problems when installing software under Windows 2000. Are you supposed to configure the drive (DMA etc) after installing Windows? It talks about enabling DMA to get the drive to work and I could not find that under the drives properties in device manager. I am going to try the drive under Windows 9X, to see if I have any better luck. Also, will this drive not read Imation CDs? Any help would be appreciated, if I cant resolve this soon I am going to return this thing. :(

There may be a jumper you have to short to enable DMA. You probably wont find the ability to enable DMA in the Device Manager of Windows if you're using a PCI RAID, or IDE controller card because the drivers for the card are installed, it won't use the Windows drivers. This doesn't mean that DMA isn't being used.
