I looked to see if anyone posted regarding this new information...but didn't find anything here at the forums. If this has already been discussed...sorry for my additional post. Anyway...
I was looking at one of our favorite technology "bargain" sites and they have posted an update regarding the TDK CDRW rebate for anyone that has purchased from buy.com. If this is true...there are going to be a lot of frustrated people that just purchased this great burner - including myself. Has anyone recieved their rebate from TDK that purchased from buy.com? Does anyone know if this is the new policy that TDK is going to follow? I just tried calling TDK but it is after business hours and will have to try again tomorrow. Here is a portion of the exact quote:
"Update: TDK reports that the media rebate is not available for this deal. Update2: TDK also reports that Buy.com is not a "participating retailer."
I am hoping that this is not the case...it would really stink to be out the additional $50.00, and $10.00 (CDRW's rebate). The rebate does state that the unit should be purchased from a "participating retailer", however in another post here in the Hot Deals forum someone mentioned that they called TDK and they were going to accept both rebates. Please share any information that you have so we can clear up what might possibly be some bad news. Thanks a lot everyone.
