TDK REBATE UPDATE

The manager of customer service at TDK just called to inform me that TDK will honor all rebates that were purchased prior to today.

I suspect they have learned a lesson in promotion communications. However, in the end, TDK did what was right...you have to hand it to them.

I must have missed something in the plethora of TDK threads(I didn't read them ALL all the way thru). The rebate form I printed from TDK's website makes absolutely no mention that you had to buy the burner at a "participating dealer" or whatever. Mine simply says I need to send in a copy of my reciept. Did TDK change thier rebate form after I printed mine?

Yeah, the Manager of Customer Service (wonder if his name starts with LANCE) is doing this because us so called "Pathetic people" or "whiners" were the ones that kept calling and 'whining' and WE MADE THEM make this right.

Of course if we would've just taken it and accepted that we got burned (like some MORON who decided to start a whole thread on the subject) had suggested, I wonder if TDK would've made good.

TDK absolutely made the right decision in this. They know that they cannot pull things like this off or make mistakes like this without a lot of bad word about their company and its honor. They did what was right, which makes me respect them.

just stating a few of my opinions, although it seems one "pathetic person" (note i'm only talking about a specific person here) has seem to think that I'm trying to be a live and learn thing.

well, in a sense yes, but originally I was just saying that people shouldn't try to bitch and moan about buy.com and how they screwed people. If people go back to the original threads they will see that people were trying to get buy.com to pay for the $50 rebate ( by calling and complaining and such, they got $25 out of it, now...if they also get the $50 from TDK back.....do you think that person is going to call buy.com and tell them "ok, you don't have to credit me back" ) .... i don't think so...


anyways, if what TDK has offered to honor whatever rebates on purchases placed before today....then let the topic drop....that's it.....why continue?
