"Real" TDK's are made in Georgia. TDK outsources their "entry level" cdr's to RITEK of Taiwan. RITEK has a bad rep although i've been told by a TDK rep that these particular cdr's made by RITEK are made to TDK specs and quality control. We'll see from people's experiences.
You can usually tell if they are RITEK made because real TDK's say "Certified Plus" and RITEK made ones say something like "100% Certified" or "Certified 100%"
Beware that descriptions will use the same wording from the real to the RITEK in the product descriptions.
If they work well for most players then this deal is pretty good. buy.com now has free shipping and a 10 off 30 coupon which will make this deal even better there I suppose.
i've got so many cd-r's i don't know what to do with them! and no, that isn't that bad a price, if they are the good cd-r's. i keep forgetting which are good though. photocyanide or something like that. i don't know what i'm talking about.
think of it, even if ritek makes them, their still "tdk" and u will get the same satisfaction from them. TDK will proably take em back if u want, and generaly TDK's are good rite, so i dont think tdk would buy dirt cheap sh!tty cdr's from ritek
I've been using TDKs for about 2 years and they've never let me down.
However, i do not think that CompUSA would give out LEGIT [certified plus] cds for $40 per 100-pack. If anyone bought that spindle, and tested the cds, please post it here.
Nah, i'm almost certain that they are "Certified 100%" or "100% Certified" which means that they are RITEK of Taiwan. However, like I said before, if these cdrs are supposedly manufactured to higher standards of quality control as stated by TDK then they should work just fine. If they are cheap enough and they work for you then what the heck?
I second Linkus in asking if anyone's used them and their experiences to be posted here. Thanks.
