TDK 48X CDRW?

Does anyone here own one? Does it support all the features of Clond CD? Does it use CAV tech.? I need a replacement for my flaky 48X Lite-On.

whats the prob with Your lite on?

it will work with all the burning software...

the only thing i am unsure of is, if it can burn safe disc 2...

My lite on will freeze my whole system sometimes if I try to burn a disc using the DAO/96 option. I can burn the same files using this method with my 24X Lite-On without issues, but not with the 48X. It will fail at the lead out with the burning lite turning amber and staying that way and hard freeze my system to the point where I have to manually restart my system. upon restart I the burn will freeze with any mode of burning before the drive even starts the burning process. This is the same with any burning program including Nero, disc juggler and clone cd. Even if I reinstall Nero it still freezes at the start of the burn before the laser even turns on. The only way to get it to work again is to install my old 24X Lite-on and burn a cd the reinstall the 48X

My 40x @ 48x is sweeet

EDIT: did you try a firmware upgrade... ?
