Hey all,
I have this TDK 24x10x40 burner, and I cannot use the XP native burning on it, TDK says it is not compatable. So, I went to install Nero's InCD, and lo and behold, it is not compatable with XP. So, basically, I cannot use any cdrw's, just cdr's. Are there any free packet writing programs out there. i sure would like to use my cdrws again.

Thanks!

Try using multisession cdfs on your cdrws.
I use it all the time w/nero. Works great.
packet writing wastes too much disc space anyway

I downloaded the newest version from Nero, and when I went to install it, it said that it was only for 2000 and NT. Maybe I just need the one for win9x.
WAYCOOL, Which version did you install?

Depending on which TDK you have, it is a Lite-On. If it has the blue face on it, it is a Lite on. I didn't believe this the first time I heard it either. But I looked up the numbers at hte fcc site, and lo and behold, it was a Lite-On. Mine burns a full 80 minutes in just under 4 minutes. If your Lite On beats that by over a minute, I would be very impressed!
