TDK 12x CDRW burns only CDRW and not CDRS !!!

There is a serious problem. It used to burn CDRs but now only burns CDRW what is the problem. It used to work DMA is enabled and the current setup is the same. The only changed was I added Winxp to a partition. Now in win2000 the burner doesn't burn CDrs what could be the cause. !! ??

I got a bunch of results when I searched for THIS in google groups. Maybe one of these peolple's suggestions will help. They range from blowing out your CD writer with compressed air, to deleting some files in windows.

Edit- I would start by cleaning the lens. It seems to have resolved the issue for a number of people.
