I was reading thru some of the VW forums and I ran across this:

Hey, I recently bought a 98 Integra GS-R w/ only 43K miles and I've ran it at the track and get consistent high 15's.
I had some fat bozo in a green Vw Jetta TDI that was trying to look cool at a light, he was acting a fool with the girl in his car so I decided to kick his butt.
We took off at the light and he shot off like a rocket, spinning the tires like mad and squealled loud and long as hell when he hit second. He even sounded off when he hit third gear.
Anyway, this guy ran side by side with me all the way up to 120 mph.
WTF?

Is my GS-R sick, or are these TDI's that strong? WTH is a TDI? I've seen some with silver letters but this one had red letters, does that mean anything? More HP?
Is that the new 24v VR6? I thought VW's were slow. I drove a Jetta with a 2.0 and I thought it was sick.

I just thought this story was funny....what do u guys think?

Holy crap, that guy either can't drive worth a nickel, or someone rebadged his tweaked Jetta as a TDI. If that was a basic TDI Jetta then the guy in the GS-R got his ass handed to him by a DIESEL. LMFAO! Great find. Good to laugh before I head off to bed.

I really doubt it was a true TDI. The only VW diesel motor that will fit in that car that can do that would run about $50,000 because it is the VW Motorsports racing diesel.

I think they have the Jetta TDI here in the states... just not in California... anyways, Jetta 1.8t's can be modded to be VERY sick ;)

You mean the only VW diesel besides the TDI? the TDI is a real motor, it does come in the golf/jetta, and in europe they have many more flavors that go into all their cars.
