TDF thread, will try to update daily...

This great athlete, perhaps the greatest I've seen yet, is taking a huge risk by going for the 7th TDF...
Do you think he should've quit, and retire with all the fame and glory, or take a shot, which I doubt will make him any greater even if he wins at the TDF?

originally i wasn't trying to be mean, i was just cheering him on. <--- me still laughing

I think this one is the big one, so I'd say yeah, he'll be up to it. Ulrich will have to settle for second... again. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA

 go lance!

well, today was stage 1, and I'm happy to say Ulrich got owned by Lance.
I hope the fun will continue... 🙂

Even though I want Lance to win his 7th, I felt bad for the German. It must really suck to be demoralized like that, on top of it, on the first day of the Tour.

if you're reffering to Ulrich (and you're serious), then I'd seriously doubt it, I don't think anyone would take a risk like that, of losing so much time over his biggest rival right at the 1st stage.
That's even before mentioning the humiliation he suffers, after making all the declerarions about wanting to win...
So, I don't think he's playing any games, he just got owned.

Yeah. Ullrich ain't too shabby at all, but Lance is just too good. 🙁

But aside from that, Go Lance!! Show 'em what Austin's all about! 😀

Edit: Woops, Ullrich has two L's, you guys. 😛

poor ulrich. somewhere in the parallel universe where lance armstrong doesn't exist, it might as well be him going for the 7th straight.

Losing that race in no way diminishes his accomplishments.
Winning it only stokes the legend and his marketability.
It's a win-win situation.
No one in the world expects him to do it, and all will be amazed if he does.
Regardless of the outcome, he's an absolutely incredible athlete.
