Interesting article, though I found it funny how much time he spent talking about dead gateway detection when no sane network administrator would configure that if they already have HSRP capability on the router side.

Yea, it looks like MS fixed a lot of problems that don't really apply to anyone. The only part that looks like it might be of any real use is the application layer stuff for IPv6 support.
