TCP Configuration

I have three machines networked to a LinkSys DSL router with a 768K DSL connection. Two of my machines seem faster browsing the net than the third, even though they are all tweaked the same, and the slowest machine actually has the fastest processor (Duron @ 1100MHz). All machines have the same network cards.

When I go into the Network Neighborhood properties for the slowest machine I see that the TCP/IP doesn't have the characteristic "->netcard" binding display that you usually see, and which the other two, faster, machines have. When I check bindings I see that the card is bound to TCP/IP, but why doesn't it show the "->netcard" that one usually sees?

I think the answer is related to the speed difference in page loading between this and the other faster machines, but I can quite figure it out.

Any ideas?

UPDATE:
I guess the fact that there isn't the "->" entry is solely a consequence of the fact that there aren't any VPN or other bindings. Still don't know why this machine is slower. Could the fact that the CAT5 cable runs near a TV/VCR/Cable setup?
