i have 2 tbred 1700+'s (jiuhb and jiucb)
both o/c to about 1900mhz stable jiuhb will do 2ghz but is about 75% stable @1.7v
voltage on MB is below 1.7v because anything more and system becomes very unstable
1.775 or 1.8 will lock before windows boots even when set at default speed 1466mhz
my MB is a A7V333
PSU is a enermax eg365p (350w)
i want to get above 2ghz but slim chance of me finding a cpu that will do that under 1.7v

thanks for any help

the A7V333 has an overvolt jumper
it ups the voltage .3v
this could be dangerous on a t-bred tho
but if you wanna do it go ahead

the a7v333 sucks for voltage options
not an overclockers board in my opinion

i tried the overvolt thing it locks the voltage at about 2v
and system doesnt boot same issue as 1.775 and 1.8v
why cant i achive stablity with any voltage above 1.7 ?

i am currently looking for a new mb choices are epox 8K3A or asus A7V8X

what kinda heatsink you have ??
voltages over 1.9v can kill t-breds in a short time (keep it under 1.85 if possible for long term use)
2v is too much for the .13u t-breds for extended use
the heat output by such a high voltage is far more than what standard cooling can handle
I wish asus would have allowed .1v or .05v increments in the bios

you have like 5 options

1) accept yur below 2ghz clock speed
2) hope that asus makes a bios that lets you use .1 or .05v increments so you can do 1.85 or abouts
3) or that you get really good cooling and stick with 2v for about a month till yur cpu frys
4) buy another cpu and hope it hits 2ghz at lower voltages
5) modify the voltage bridges on the cpu to trick the board into using the voltage you want

my 1700+ took 1.85v to hold anything around 2ghz
unfortunately it didn't live long tho
but it's death might partially be attributed to me cranking it up to 2.15 and 2.05 for a few days

sk-7 w/80mm tornado
i wouldnt run above 1.8v but i cant even get their
if iam 75% stable at 2000mhz@1.7v
i should be stable at 1.725 or 1.75v
but like i said anything above 1.7volts is unstable with any setting 133x11.....etc

maybe you reached the limit of the chip/cooling solution then if upping the voltage doesn't help
ohh well
good luck

have you tried vdimm?
its undocumented, but look around the dimms. its there

if added voltage wont do anything, then that seems to be the limit of the cpu
