TBred B 1800+??

Has anyone else seen any of these for sale anywhere?? I got one on ebay by mistake, and need another for my dual mobo, but I can't seem to find one anywhere!! It's a great cpu and runs at 42C even at 155 FSB with a junky cooler master fan.

Then you have an anamoly. All others I have talkted to say the 1800+ is a lemon in that it runs hot as all hell. Personally my 2100+ is WAY cooler than my 1800+ ever was. ~20C cooler on average.

was your 1800+ an 'A' core or 'B' core?

It was a "B", with the J whatever stepping. I've been able to find "A"s for sale, but no luck finding another "B" It was also great for overclocking, I've been able to get it up to at least 1.9 ghz with that same junk fan and no real stability problems.

newegg has them
they should be great overclockers
just as good if not better than a 1700+
i just always got the 1700+ cause it was a bit cheaper

Well I think newegg has "A"s, AXDA1800DLT3C, but if they are nearly as good OCers and run cool they might be OK. I'd get a 1700, but I have an 1800 and I need a matching one for my dual MB, and I'm not sure if I want to try and change the multiplier with the bridges ...

EDIT: looks like newegg isn't even guaranteing 1700 "B"s anymore

are you guys serious??? you are telling me that a 1800+ is a pice of crap. i'm sorry but no. dnoyeb you are an idiot.

but to answer your question damon you can get 1800+ athlon xp thoroughbred b's at newegg. just make sure under the description it says thoroughbred (it is the thoroughbred B core even if it doesn't specify A or B) trust me.
