TBIRD 900 , Do I need to unlock to set the multiplier to >9 ?

Hi.

I have a Tbird 900 and Epox 8KTA2. I'm thinking about upgrading to PC133 ram and the MSI K7T TURBO or 8KTA3. If I want to overclock using the FSB say 7.5x140 (1050)... DO I NEED TO UNLOCK THE L1s? Just curious cuz I can't do it right and don't want to bother... When I try to overclock my current combo, I get random errors and crashes (i'm sure it's bad penciling).

Is it possible to use a FSB of 110-133 on these newer mobos? Can i do say 9x125 or something? Thanks in advance.

If your bios allows, you can change the fsb all you want without touching the chip. With the new kt133a boards you can go from 100-150 fsb, not in 1mhz increments though.
