I have a SLOT tbird 700, 700 core on an Asus K7V. It OC's fine to 800, but I can't get past it. 850 is no go, and 840 (8*105) is very unstable. Any idea what the limiting factor might be? I don't have an accurate way to measure the temps.

I'm using the k7oc GFD. I have heard that my mobo won't take tbirds faster than 800 (thats why they made a K7V-T - you have to do a mobo mod)

The KX133 boards are not that great with Slot T-Birds. I would suggest an AMD chipset mobo such as the K7-Pro if you want to overclock.

EDIT: How high have you raised the voltage? You may get more out of it at higher voltage with good cooling.
