I have beeen trying to OC this rig for several days, but run into a limit of 10.5x on the multiplier - won't even send a video signal (monitor powers down)when trying to boot after BIOS reset to 11x. Loctite job on CPU.

Seem to be chipset or memory limited to 107-108MHz FSB speed(unstable above).

Tried higher core voltage, lower FSB, no good.

While 1130+ MHz is pretty OK, I'd like to try for more.

Any takers?

maybe you're just limited by the chip. what is your cooling setup? when you say that you tried a higer multiplier with a lower fsb, i'm assuming you mean that you tried 100mhx with 11x? it doesn't seem to me that it's the loctite since you can change it to 10.5. i dunno what to tell you man. i changed mine all the way to 12x103 but it was pretty unstable. now i'm running at 11.5x105 just fine. voltages up to 1.85 are safe as long as you're using adequate cooling.

Running with a Coolermaster, temps seem normal, <45c at load, 30-35c otherwise.

This may in fact be the upper limit on this rig, but I don't see why I can't even post at 1100 at 11x when I run stable at 1130 10.5x.

I'm open to any suggestion!

Try switching to more conservative settings/timings on the motherboard.

the temps look nice, but you never can tell on a slota board. a beter hfs should be first on your shoping list. btw was it green or blue?

Blue. And it's not a temp problem, since I get this instantly after I reset the multiplier after a cold boot. And no other heat-related problems.
