I have an epox 8k7a+ and i might buy a 1800+ if its worth it...

im not man...i have a 1.4 @ 1.6.....imho, it is not woth the $ to upgrade yet..

Yea i could prolly get mine up to 1.6 too, i mean i have crucial ram, 4 case fans, a sk6 heatsink with a 7k rpm fan so that should be enough i would assume. I guess im happy with 1.4 for now.

i have a tbird 1.4, and my roommate has an xp1800, and i don't really notice all that much difference between our computers. since the speeds are so close, the components makes a lot more difference than the two processors in my opinion.

wait till the 0.13 micron amd cpus come out. that's what i'm waiting for, then you can probably overclock like mad.

The new XP core runs cooler, more efficient core & SSE. Peformance increment can be around 5-10% better than the 1.4 Ghz T-birds...but only on benchies. Real world performance is not noticeable (most occasion). U r right...wait for a better upgrade.
