I'm building a tbird system with an MSI k7t Turbo R2 mobo. I ordered a 1.3ghz tbird athlon from Directron.com and stuck it in, and it's showing up as a 1.0ghz athlon. The fsb is at 133, so it's at the correct bus speed. I can't figure out what else to do...any ideas?

Its not the multi.

Set the FSB to 133. Its probably just bumped down to 100 Mhz fsb.

Did you do a bios reset? In that case thats your answer, it bumped the fsb down to 100 Mhz. :)

I think that mobo has a jumper for 100/133, so maybe for some reason even though you say it's at 133, the jumper is set incorrectly... that could easily cause such a problem.

it's something to do with either multi or fsb, that's the only possible way the CPU can show incorrect speed.

I agree with the others... it's likely a physical jumper on the board... those little pins with the plastic hat. ;) Back in the KT133 days, they all seemed to have 'em. That usually overrides any BIOS setting.
