If it is running that hot, I would get rid of that HSF if I were you. I have an external probe attached with the tip of the probe touching the core of my T-Bird, and never get past 40 Cel. under full load with the Alpha/Delta fan that I use. Right now, my internal case temp is showing 21 Cel. The external temp probe on the T-Bird is showing 35.1 Cel. That is at 982MHz 1.85V.
While from what I understand there is no way to really get an 100% accurate temp reading, the external probes that I use for the T-Bird and in the case are as close to accurate as one could get. In any case, the temps that you are reporting are too hot. I know nothing about the HSF that you are using, but perhaps there is a problem with the clip tension, or it will just not take the heat generated from your T-Bird.
