Any TB+ drive coming out soon ? I managed to fill up my 750gb server.. copied all the junk from all the notebook, vacation photos, videos, etc and got 11 gb left...

Getting a TB drive will only add 250gb.. Its a 1u server, so I can only do 2 drive Raid 1

i dont think so. I havent kept up real close on HD's lately but it has not been that long that they have been out. I believe that seagate's new drives are based on 250Gb platters so I would not expect anything from them to soon either. The soonest I would expext to see something is spring time.

Need a tb+ meaning 1.25 or 1.5 or 2tb per drive.. tb are easily accessible...

I guess ill wait till 2008.. getting extra 250gb isn't much... doubling per drive is much better.

well samsung's 1tb drive is based around 3 333GB platters meaning they could easily bring out a 1.33GB harddrive now[/l] but they won't. 1TB drives haven't fully penetrated yet and people are still willing to pay a premium for them. i bet in 2008 we will see 1tb+ drives.
