Hi all,

I recently purchased a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card to pair with my recently arrived VideoLogic Digitheatre DTS 5.1 system. The speakers sound marvelous; much better than my roommate's Klipsch 4.1's. However, whenever i scroll up or down a webpage, my winamp skips (just a bit, but noticeable). Does anybody know what might be causing this problem? (or if it should be expected).

My system is as follows:
Intel P4 1.5 ghz
Intel d845wn motherboard
512 MB SDRAM (ouch)
IBM 40GB 60gxp Hard Drive
Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer

I also have a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and it still skips during scrolling.

If you're using Internet Explorer, follow these steps:

1. Open an IE window.
2. Select the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.
3. Click on the Advanced tab located at the top of the new window.
4. At the bottom of header titled, "Browsing:", uncheck "Use Smooth Scrolling."
5. Hit ok on the window, close your current browser window.
6. Open a new IE window.

Go to a site that allows you to scroll and see if that fixes your problem.

Good luck!

You may have the Winamp selected and when you scroll it fast forwards/rewinds the song a bit. Have you tried keeping the winamp minimized to make sure it is not selected? Maybe this is it. Because I know if you scrool w/ winamp selected it will control volume and may be moving ahead in track. Hope this helps.

Nah scrolling on winamp will just affect the volume; i think it must be my slow computer. I'm just gonna leave smooth scrolling off for now.
