Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you, nineteen for me
'cause I'm the taxman,
yeah, I'm the taxman

Should five percent appear too small
Be thankful I don't take it all
'cause I'm the taxman,
yeah, I'm the taxman

If you drive a car, I'll tax the street
If you try to sit, I'll tax your seat
If you get too cold, I'll tax the heat
If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet
Taxman

'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman

Don't ask me what I want it for (ha ha Mr. Wilson)
If you don't want to pay some more (ha ha Mr. Heath)
'cause I'm the taxman,
yeah, I'm the taxman

Now my advice for those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
'cause I'm the taxman,
yeah, I'm the taxman
And you're working for no one but me

Well, I already filed my federal taxes and got my return. I'll get around to filing my state taxes eventually, I'm in no hurry to get that $1.00 back from them. :)

We checked our PO Box today and it was a mob scene.

Parts of the parking lot were taped off.

Rent-a-cops were there in full force.

Glad I mailed our returns yesterday.

Did my Federal and State returns on Sunday using TaxCut. I have until the end of the month to do my city taxes. I'm expecting a nice Federal refund :) It will come in handy as a down payment for my new car.;)

so here is my tax filing story.

in '00 i had H&R Block do my '99 returns. good returns not bad fee (about $150)

in '01 i bought software, cost me $50 and i got back a nice return.

in '02 i went to a cpa and he got me a decent return but charged me $1800.00. WOW. I was a bit pissed to be honest.

so this year, i went back to H&R Block After buying software and estimating my return. i estimated a $900.00 return the cpa at H&R got me back $1800 with total charge of $400.

so, from now on, no more messing with software, no more CPA's I'm going to H&R block. also i like their RAC which means my refunds are direct deposited directly to my account and the fee i owe them comes out of my return. :)

You got raped.

My Accountant (not sure if he is a CPA) does my Federal and State returns, about a 25 page return between the two of them, for $150.

there is a difference in pricing between Oklohama and NJ. :) the $400 i paid this year is comparable to your $150.

That about sums it up, as big a POS as my state is, the cost of living is reasonable. :D
