so apparently my state taxes for wis are 6.1% vs 3% in IL... so I cant do anything about that

but my federal went up $40 a month as well? Do different states get taxed different by the government?

So now Im dealing with $160 a month less on my paycheck... just when I had enough surplus that I was going to start putting in 150 a month into my IRA.... 23r523452v2dffbcking taxes

Edit: What benefit am i getting from WI that makes these added taxes justified? no toll roads? big F!@$ deal, I have to commute into IL anyway....

I'm not fimiliar with WI but when I visit Chicago...I'm shocked @ all the different taxes and %...like on food, paper, Gas, Tobacco etc...and no Fed Tax should be the same everywhere depending on your gross income...

And no fsking tolls to boot. Ah well, gotta love construction for the new open road tolling in the IPASS lanes on the IL tollroads.

Yeah, but I bet you aren't paying 9% sales tax like we are in Chicago. :(

If you actually find an answer to your question please let me know. Cause I've been living in WI my whole life and I STILL don't understand the point to the high taxes.

OUCh the traffic coming from WI to IL is awful. When I drove a truck and had to go to Green bay for my deliveries I would leave around 5 am from Hammond and when I made it just a little north of Chicago traffic at 6:30 was bumper to bumper from there all the way INTO WI. How can you deal with that every day to and from???
