Hello All,

My first deal post. I hope its appreciated.

I bought everything at OfficeMax:

TaxCut Premium: 39.99 - $10 MIR = 29.99
DeductionPro: 19.99 - $20 MIR = Free
TaxCut State: 24.95 - $25 MIR = Free
Norton Internet Security: 69.99 - $10 Instant - $30 Upgrade (POSSIBLE) - $30 MIR = Free or $30
Money 2005 Deluxe: 59.99 - PRICE MATCH WITH CURRENT COMPUSA AD ($20) - $40 MIR = Free

Total so Far: $30

In the Money and TaxCut boxes they included a voucher that provides $50 for signing up for an ING Orange Savings account. I signed up and funded the account with $50 from my checking account and they stated that I will receive my bonus within a couple of days.

In the End: $30 - $50 = -$20

I hope it helps.

I'd be cautious on these get the world free with tax program offers. I got Turbotax stuff at Office Depot including a free 256mb pen drive. The manager lied and said there was one coupon in the Turbotax box for all of it. I said I wanted to see it and opened the box I was going to buy, no coupons. except the standard TT one The register spewed out one after the other. I sat down to fill out rebates and it was impossible to do them all. As I recall there were FIVE different forms to fill out and sent to DIFFERENT addresses. Finally more than one wanted the original UPC code. It was impossible to do it.

I took all the crap back and got a credit. The clerk laughed and said they knew that you couldn't do it but hoped people would give up and keep it anyway. Geesh.

yep this is BS....spend $200+ on software only to MAYBE get back all those rebates? defaintely not worth it imho
i just want to see taxcut deluxe+state for $29.99 BEFORE rebate (possibly free after)....thats my ideal setup...lets hope that comes up in the next couple mnths 🙂

I did it all no problem:

1)TaxCut Premium MIR: TaxCut Premium UPC
2)DeductionPro MIR: DeductionPro UPC
3)TaxCut State MIR: TaxCut State UPC
4)Norton Internet Security: UPGRADE: The "Proof of Purchase" token from the top flap of the box.
TAXCUT PURCHASE MIR: Norton Internet Security UPC
5)Money Deluxe MIR: Money Deluxe UPC

-None of the rebates require the original receipt.

ING Orange Savings Account: Nothing except the code on the voucher

All the rebates require different forms and go to different addresses. I just stuck a bunch of envelopes in the printer and printed out all the envelopes I needed first. I think the biggest problem would just be the time required to do everything.
