should I cheat?

Ok here's the deal,
my friend has this tax accountant that gets him like 6g's every year. No, he doesn't own property and I assume that his tax guy is pulling off a few tricks since that my friend usually pays or doesn't get that much back. My friend said that the chances of him getting audited are small since it's chump change and that the IRS has too many tax refund to file.
Should I take a chance?

only if you dont mind getting caught and becoming a prison b!tch...

also... you can't on whine ATOT if you get caught

there are many legitimate ways to be aggressive on your return without committing fraud. don't forget the $20 you put in the plate at church each week that you don't need a receipt for.

IRS has a reward systems for people that report fraud.

cheating on taxes seems like a great plan.

objectively speaking, is $6000 worth a 1% chance of going to jail for what I assume is a felony?

I just don't have the balls to lie to the most coercive, heartless, and powerful bureaucracies that exists today.

My returns the last few years have been 50 pages long and I'll be sweating bullets if I get audited, but it's all there in black and white.

I never cheated on my tax form. The one year where I made a mistake it was in the IRS's favor. They ended up sending me a second refund check to my surprise.

Being that I'm a single male earning 50k+, I do feel royally screwed every year so I can understand the urge to cheat a little. Even so, I say don't do it. When they do catch you prepare to bend over and remain in that position for life.

Let me put it to you this way.

Al Capone smuggled, murdered, stole, and kidnapped without getting caught.

Then he cheated on his taxes and got caught.
