What's up with this stimulus tax rebate? My understanding is that once you are past $75K, your $600 check starts getting reduced. Is that right?

According to an online calculator, I get nothing?? What's up with that? Why are there going to be lots of people enjoying their new iPods but not me? And apparently this tax rebate is intended to boost rampant consumerism? Isn't that the thing that got the US into this trouble such that stimulus checks are needed?

It's an election year. Since Bush screwed up the economy so badly he can't let it crash before the election. Democrats can't be seen as doing nothing so therefore you have the perfect storm.
And people who earn over 75k a year ARE getting a HUGE tax cut this year. Perhaps you forgot the Bush tax cuts?
So what's your problem?
