Tax question

I am trying to do my wifes US taxes.... not all that fun, but I do Canadian taxes, so its all pretty much same sh!t different pile kind of stuff.

situation:
-My wife is US citizen married to me (canadian citizen) (married in 2003)
-whe have a 2 year old son (dependant?)
-she has lived in canada for the past 2 years
-she is a landed immagrant here
-she has only canadian income to report since she worked up here for about 4 months

So.....

Can I get away with filing a 1040EZ and a 2555EZ, taking the foreign income exclusion and therefore pay no tax?
Different 1040?
Thanks for your help, cause taxes suck

not that i know anything, but i thought that as long as a US citizen stayed outside the US for the entire year, the income they earned outside the US was not taxed by the US

i dunno
